Slow Cooker Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 8 tart cooking apples, cored, peeled & sliced
  • 1 ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½-3/4 cup raisins, craisins, or currants) these may be mixed if desired
  • 1 ½ cups baking mix-divided
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp cold butter

Directions

  1. Mix apples, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg and raisins, craisens currants, stir to coat well. Place in a greased slow cooker.
  2. Mix milk, butter (softened) sugar, eggs, vanilla, and ½ cup of baking mix and spoon over apple mixture. Mix the remaining with brown sugar. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over top. Do NOT Stir!
  3. Cook covered on low for 6-7 hours or until apples are tender.
