Plum Sauce

Plum Sauce

Makes 3/4 cup

This No-Fat Sauce is excellent served over Chicken or Pork, try it over Gooseberries Stuffed Pork Chops. Best of all it’s only 15 minutes from start to finish!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Plum Jam
  • ¼ cup Green Onions, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. Dry Sherry
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Vinegar

Directions

  1. In a small sauce pan combine jam, green onions and corn starch. Whisk to mix well.
  2. Stir in sherry, soy sauce and vinegar.
  3. Over medium heat cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
  4. Cook and stir 2 minutes more.
  5. Serve warm over cooked chicken or pork.
