Lemon Lime Grilled Halibut

Makes 6 servings


  • 6 halibut steaks, ¾ inch thick
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped fine
  • ¼ tsp ground cumin


  1. Place halibut steaks into a shallow dish. In a small bowl combine lemon juice, lime juice, olive oil, salt, ground pepper, minced garlic and ground cumin. Mix well. Pour over fish. Turn fish over once.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes to marinate before cooking. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Take fish out of refrigerator. Remove fish from marinade. Reserve marinade.
  3. Cover and grill fish for 10 minutes. Brush with reserved marinade twice during cooking. Turn fish, brush with marinade twice. Cook 5 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork. Serve with your favorite side dish.
