Grilled Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • One tomato
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil or butter
  • Pinch of basil, tarragon and oregano
  • Sprinkle garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper

Directions

  1. Wash, core and cut each tomato into 8 chunks. Peel onions, chop roughly and add tomatoes. Add butter or oil, salt, pepper and herbs.
  2. Wrap mixture in foil and seal edges well. Tuck package down into the coals or place on a grill rack. Depending on heat, allow 15 to 30 minutes or enough time for onion to get tender.
