Grilled Ribeye Steak

Ingredients

  • 6 ribeye steaks
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 4-5 shallots, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 3 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Directions

  1. Mix together oil, shallots, garlic and 2 tablespoons of the ground pepper in a zip top bag. Add the steaks to the marinade and turn to coat.
  2. Close the bag, removing as much air as possible. Place the bag in a large bowl and let it rest in the refrigerator overnight.
  3. Mix together the paprika, cayenne, salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, oregano and thyme.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and let the excess marinade drip off the steak. Rub the steak with the dry mixture and grill over a medium high heat for 7 minutes per side or until done to your liking.
