Chicken Breast Romano

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 4 whole chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cups canned tomato puree
  • 1 cup Romano cheese, grated
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • ½ tsp whole oregano
  • ¼ tsp basil leaves

Directions

  1. Dust the chicken breasts in flour. In a large sauté pan, brown chicken breasts in oil. Mix tomato, garlic salt, oregano, and basil leaves. When chicken is browned, add onions and stir. Next add the tomato mixture and simmer for 30-45 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
